Infrastructure and Resource Management

Large enterprises rely on substantial infrastructure including IT, communications, office and factory facilities, manufacturing equipment, product and supplies inventory, transportation, and more. The infrastructure components are often complex and interrelated. They are associated with organizations that provide and use the infrastructure resources. There are also processes that support and are supported by these components. Integrated management of this infrastructure across its full life-cycle requires rich and precise models of the infrastructure elements and their interrelations to other aspects of the enterprise. Cyc provides just such a modeling environment and the ability to query, track, report on, and otherwise manage complex infrastructure within an enterprise.
