Standard Dispatching Macro Character Syntax

‘#’ is the SubL standard dispatching macro character. The SubL reader supports the following dispatch macro character sequences, whose meanings are identical to their meanings in Common Lisp :

Dispatch Sequence Reader Action

#\( Read a character constant.
#’ Read a function constant.
#( Begin reading a vector.
#| Begin reading a comment section.
|# End reading a comment section.

Additionally, SubL supports the dispatch sequence #$ as follows :

#$foo reads the Cyc constant whose name is “foo”
