A monarchy is a type of country.

Comment: An instance of #$GeopoliticalEntityBySystemOfGovernment. Each instance of #$Monarchy is a country with a system of government in which an hereditary ruler figures prominently. Subsumes both absolute monarchy, where executive, legislative, and judicial functions of government are vested in the monarch, and constitutional monarchies, in which at least some aspects of the government derive from a written constitution and not from the monarch's whim.
