Cynthia Matuszek was a researcher and project lead at Cycorp from March 2000 through August 2007, and is now a consultant for Cycorp. In that time, she served as a researcher and manager of several projects in applying Cyc to machine learning, as well as Cycorp's CycSecure security software development effort. She helped develop components that enable Cyc to perform automated knowledge acquisition from corpora such as the world wide web and inductive learning over existing knowledge. She is author of publications in areas ranging across automated knowledge acquisition, induction over large-scale knowledge bases, structured knowledge integration, and applications of Cyc to real-world problems of computer security, intelligence analysis, and research support.
